As the Holiest month of Ramadan is going on and we are grabbing the blessings of Allah Almighty. Ramadan not only teaches us about tolerance and patience but also gratitude, forgiveness, humanity and hospitality. One thing that is very important about Ramadan is that of Iftar Parties and preparing Iftar dishes.
Iftar parties (iftar Dinners) are the get together during breaking fast. As you know different food items are cooked for iftar dinners, we must eat balanced and healthy diet while breaking fast or iftar, but sometime we must try some spicy foods so here I am going to share some sour and spicy recipes for iftar dinner.
Shashlik/ Shish Kabab
For making it you need to have beef/ chicken chunks, onion, tomato, cucumber and capsicum.
Marinate chunks with salt, pepper, soy sauce and chili sauce for two hours. Then sew chunks and vegetables in a straw and grill it for 10-15 minutes. Delicious shashlik is ready to eat. It is very healthy to eat because of low quantity of oil used in its preparation.
French Fries as iftar dish
As potatoes are good source of carbohydrates, so these fries will boost the energy after iftar.
For its preparation you want to have fresh potatoes, peel and cut the potatoes in small bites. Sprinkle salt as per your taste and deep fry in refined oil. Serve it with ketchup.
It is very easy to cook recipe and also contain very low fats. For its preparation you want to have a chicken cut in small pieces.
Add salt, black pepper, oregano, lemon juice and soy sauce in chicken, marinate it for 1 hour and grill it or steam it in a streamer.
Pasta creamy salad
For its preparation you need to have one cup boiled pasta, some fruits of your choice, fresh cream and one cup boiled chicken. Add all these ingredients into a bowl, add salt sugar as per your taste. Mix it well and enjoy it in iftar dinner.
Take one cup boiled macaroni/ pasta, capsicum of different colours, peas, paprika powder pepper, salt, oregano and oil. Add oil in to pan and stir capsicum, then add pasta and other ingredients in it fry it for 5 minutes and take out in a plate or bowl and serve it with ketchup in iftar dinner.
Cook beef over low flame in oil for 10 minute until it turns into brown. Add 4 cups of water and bring it to boil. Turn the flame very low until meat becomes tender now add spices, salt and celery. Stir it until the oil is separated. Garnish it with coriander leaves and enjoy it with rice or chapatti.
